Setting/Hours: 100% in Office| M-F

What You’ll Be Doing:
This is a hands‑on maintenance role supporting both production equipment and facility systems in a heavy industrial environment.

Electrical / Controls

Troubleshoot and repair 480V, 3‑phase motor control systems
Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Install conduit;pull, terminate, and test wiring
Work with Allen‑Bradley and PLC Direct components
(PLC experience is a plus but not required)
Troubleshoot VFDs, motor controls, and related electrical components

Mechanical / Industrial Maintenance

Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production machinery
Troubleshoot and repair electro‑mechanical systems
Welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs
Maintain and repair conveyors and material‑handling equipment
Support rigging and equipment installation projects
Assist with plant improvements and some facility maintenance as needed
Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs

Environment note: The shop is VERY dirty and loud. Candidates must be comfortable working in a scrap‑metal industrial setting.

Must‑Have Qualifications:

Minimum 6 months –1 year of maintenance experience
(Industrial, manufacturing, automotive, military, or similar backgrounds are acceptable with strong ancillary experience)
Comfortable wearing all hats in a lean maintenance environment
Go‑getter mentality;proactive and self‑sufficient
Strong mechanical aptitude;electrical exposure preferred
Willingness to learn PLCs (experience not required)
Reliable transportation and solid attendance
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable in a physically demanding, industrial work environment

Tools, PPE & Dress

Steel‑toed boots required (candidate must provide their own)
Candidates may bring personal tools;Quantum Metals is not responsible for them
Company‑provided uniforms upon conversion (deposit required)

Screening Requirements

Background check and drug screen required
Very open to backgrounds as long as they are non‑violent and the candidate is honest up front
