RegularThe Maintenance Technician Lead directs and assists the shift maintenance crew, performs all repairs as required by the department, performs troubleshooting processes, manages and performs preventive maintenance program, and assists with machine set ups and rebuilds as required. Follow all safe work habits and practices as prescribed by the Agropur Safety Program; to ensure all staff operates safely and efficiently.

Your role in achieving results:
Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.
Initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the dairy industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiate reordering as needed.
Maintain and repair maintenance shop equipment.
Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment. (does not apply to LSFI or LSC)
Prepare reports analyze data (does not apply to LSFI or LSC); making recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related issues.
Ensure that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
Review the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for
improvement.
