 Out of the Woods Custom Cabinetry in Layton, Utah is looking for a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help keep our equipment, machinery, and facility operating safely and efficiently.This is a hands-on role responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the facility. If you're mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently to solve problems and minimize equipment downtime, we'd like to hear from you.Pay & Schedule:$21–$29 per hour, depending on experienceMonday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.Full-timeLayton, UtahWe offer:Medical, Dental, VisionSimple IRAVoluntary Life InsuranceUp to 6 PTO days per year and 6 paid holidaysWhat You'll Be Doing:Perform routine inspections of equipment, machinery, building systems, and facilities to identify maintenance or safety concerns.Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to help minimize downtime.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, equipment, and general building maintenance issues.Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, equipment problems, and emergency maintenance needs.Follow all applicable safety procedures, SOPs, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and immediately report equipment problems or safety risks to management.Install, assemble, test, and assist with the setup of new equipment and machinery as needed.Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and other completed maintenance work.Maintain tools and equipment in safe, clean, and good working condition.Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when specialized maintenance or repairs are required.Work professionally with employees, management, vendors, customers, and external partners while supporting a safe, clean, and efficient facility.What We're Looking For:Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.2+ years of experience in machine and facility maintenance or other related maintenance experience required.Experience safely operating hand tools and power tools required.Ability to troubleshoot and perform general mechanical, equipment, and facility maintenance.Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company insurability requirements.Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening requirements.Skills That MatterAbility to follow written and verbal work instructions in English.Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing high-quality work.Ability to work efficiently and respond to maintenance needs in a fast-paced production environment.Dependable attendance and punctuality.Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and take initiative when maintenance issues arise.Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, management, contractors, and vendors.Physical & Work Environment RequirementsThis position is performed primarily in a warehouse and production environment and may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, noise, and dust.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.Ability to safely use ladders and perform maintenance work throughout the facility.Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements, including grasping, pushing, pulling, and reaching.Ability to read labels, signs, measuring devices, work instructions, and information on computer screens.Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with team or equipment assistance.Ability to use a computer to enter maintenance-related information and records.Ability to regularly wear required PPE, including closed-toe shoes and eye and ear protection.Why This RoleAs a Maintenance Technician, you'll play an important role in keeping our people, equipment, and production operations running safely and efficiently.
