    Description

    **Key Responsibilities: **

    • Perform intermediate-level preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including conveyors, ovens, freezers, pumps, motors, and packaging systems.

    • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems with minimal supervision.

    • Support and lead equipment changeovers, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with sanitation protocols.

    • Calibrate and adjust sensors, scales, and automated systems to maintain product quality.

    • Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS and report recurring issues or potential failures.

    • Assist in training and mentoring Maintenance Technician I team members.

    • Assist with parts room to maintaining key equipment spare parts inventory.

    • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE usage.

    • Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to ensure equipment readiness and reliability.

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.

    • Other duties as identified or assigned by Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.

    Equipment Exposure:

    • Advanced troubleshooting of conveyors, ovens, freezers, baggers, wrappers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and ammonia systems.

    • Calibration and diagnostics of packaging and palletizing equipment.

    • Support for utilities systems, including compressed air and refrigeration.

    • The Maintenance Technician shall

    • Enforce that all elements of food Safety within the plant are being met.

    • Ensure that all tools and equipment used is accounted for when completing a task

    • Ensure that clothing worn does not become contaminated causing possible carrying of ingredients, especially allergens, to other areas

    • Ensure the cleaning and sanitizing of tools and equipment when tasks are completed

    • Knowledge of GMP’s and other legal requirements for the food industry.

    • Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency repairs on your line to ensure your equipment is in proper order.

    • Assist production and sanitation with customer complaint issues.

    • Assist parts room personnel to maintaining key equipment spare parts inventory.

    • Must have a strong working relationship with production and sanitation.

    • Knowledge of OSHA standards.

    • Work with the Business Unit Manager and Quality Technical Manager in identifying quality, food safety or regulation issues at assigned facilities.

    • Ensure that the facility is ready for the 3rd party or customer inspections.

    Other duties as identified or assigned by Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
