  • Starting Pay: $25.45 per hour
  • $0.55/hour additional shift differential pay (2nd & 3rd shift)
  • Progressive pay increases
  • 8-hour shift schedule

  • Up to $33.78 per hour depending upon skillset and experience

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information

  • 8-hour shifts
  • 1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm
  • 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm
  • 3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am
  • Training occurs on 1st shift and then shift rotation after completion of training (rotation will be explained in the interview)Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
  • Plant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As part of our manufacturing team, you will:

  • Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial processing and packaging machinery, work tools and equipment
  • Using machinery/equipment specifically related to the position including saws/drills, welders, lathes, bending/cutting machines, basic mechanical tools, ultrasonic/vibration analysis equipment, piping, rigging, lifting, and sheet metal
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems of all plant equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems of plant and packaging/processing equipment such as wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, motors and AC/DC motor drivers and circuit boards
  • Performing both uptime and downtime preventative maintenance
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
  • Assist in training new employees

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance or related industry experience
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of PLC operation, electrical motors, gearbox and components along with systems troubleshooting, including use of a multimeter and specialized tools
  • Experience in repairing and troubleshooting AC/DC electrical systems, reading schematics and using electrical testing equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with flexibility to quickly shift work priorities
  • Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
  • Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
  • Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Manufacturing or production experience
  • Basic shop equipment (mill, lathe, grinder, presses, etc.) preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
