About the Position
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and service-oriented
Maintenance Technician to join our condominium association team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for helping maintain the property’s buildings, common areas, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, guests, and staff.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who takes pride in their work, has strong troubleshooting skills, and can respond to maintenance needs promptly and professionally. This position requires someone who is comfortable working independently while also collaborating with management, vendors, contractors, and other team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections throughout the condominium property.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and common areas.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance issues.
- Monitor mechanical rooms, equipment, and other building areas for potential problems.
- Assist with maintaining pools, recreational areas, parking areas, walkways, and other common facilities as assigned.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resident concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Assist with preparation of units, common areas, and facilities for repairs or scheduled projects.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers when specialized repairs are required.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work areas.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and condominium association policies.
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations, including water leaks, power issues, equipment failures, and other building-related emergencies.
- Perform other maintenance duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property maintenance, building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other building maintenance systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify maintenance issues and determine when professional contractors are required.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Professional and courteous interaction with residents, guests, vendors, and coworkers.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks associated with property maintenance.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Relevant licenses, certifications, or technical training are a plus.

Schedule
Part-Time
The schedule may include weekends, holidays, on-call responsibilities, or emergency response as needed based on the operational requirements of the condominium association.
