Harvest Crossing | Jackson, OH

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for Harvest Crossing, our apartment community in Jackson, Ohio. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone with basic maintenance knowledge who takes pride in their work and wants to develop their skills. The successful candidate will receive training and mentoring from experienced maintenance team members while helping maintain the property and provide quality service to residents.

Schedule

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week | On-call rotation as needed

The Successful Maintenance Technician Will:

• Perform interior and exterior repairs and routine maintenance in apartments, common areas, buildings, and grounds.
• Assist with preparing vacant apartments for new residents.
• Respond to service requests and communicate progress with the supervisor and maintenance team.
• Assist with inspecting work completed by outside contractors.
• Help maintain the property's exterior appearance and curb appeal.
• Monitor maintenance supplies and expenses and report needs to the supervisor.
• Follow applicable federal, state, and local health and safety codes, laws, and standards.
• Inspect and help maintain laundry facilities, fitness areas, restrooms, and other common areas.
• Assist with resident functions and other property needs as requested by management.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance, repairs, or building trades; training and mentoring will be provided.
• A willingness to learn and develop skills in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to follow instructions, work with minimal supervision as skills develop, and communicate effectively.
• Positive, service-oriented approach when working with residents, coworkers, vendors, and the public.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
• Reliable transportation required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach, lift, pull, and push, and lift or carry up to 75 pounds. This role will require working indoors and outdoors and responding to maintenance needs throughout the property.
