Maintenance Technician Arnot Realty is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician based in Ithaca, NY to help care for our local portfolio of multi-family, commercial, and retail properties. You’ll tackle a wide variety of hands-on work across our properties – from responding to tenant work orders and completing preventative maintenance to completing turnovers and handling repairs big and small. In this role, you'll keep everything running at its best – handling plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and more – with the stability and support to do your best every day. What You'll Do - Property Caretaker: Keep the building humming – service calls, unit turnovers, and preventative maintenance so nothing breaks down on your watch.
- Master of All Trades: Channel your inner handyman – carpentry, paint, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, you name it.
- Curb Appeal: Keep the outside looking as good as the inside – siding, doors, windows, and the occasional assistance with landscaping work.

- On-Call & Emergency Support: Participate in a shared on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and weather-related issues; compensated for your after-hours heroics.

- All-In Team Player: Wear multiple hats, jump in where needed, and help us keep growing.
- Your Input Matters: Have an idea to make the property better? We want to hear it.
What You Bring - Been There, Fixed That: At least 2 years in property maintenance or similar fields (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
- Right Tool for the Right Job: Ability to use hand/power tools and skill in operating the necessary equipment.
- Mechanically Minded: Ability to understand complex systems, problem solve on the fly and follow troubleshooting guidelines.
- Ready to Roll: A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
You Should Be Able To - Lift & Carry: Frequently lift, move, or carry items weighing 50+ pounds.
- Maneuver Properties: Move about properties often including ascending/descending of stairs and ladders.
- Be Flexible & Mobile: Bend, squat, kneel, twist, and walk for periods of time while inspecting/addressing properties or equipment.
- Operate Devices: Frequently operate electronic devices for communication and task management.
- Exchange Information: Communicate with tenants, vendors, and colleagues to exchange accurate information.
- Inspect Projects: Observe, inspect, and assess maintenance projects which include travel to and from property locations on a regular basis.
