You'll work independently to complete work orders, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure residents receive outstanding service. No two days are exactly alike, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESManage repair and replacement of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical components, and appliancesComplete resident work orders in a timely and professional mannerPerform unit turnovers, including repairs, painting, cleaning coordination, and preparation for new residentsConduct routine and preventative maintenance throughout the propertyAssist with grounds maintenance, trash removal, and upkeep of common areasPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual property inspections as assignedCoordinate and monitor vendor and contractor work as neededIdentify and report safety concerns, property damage, and emergency maintenance issues immediatelySupport maintenance needs at both Countryside Village locations in Mt. Morris and OregonParticipate in an on-call rotation as assignedDemonstrate and uphold Oakbrook's core values in all interactionsPerform other duties as assignedARE YOU THE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN WE'RE LOOKING FOR?The ideal candidate is reliable, resourceful, and committed to providing exceptional customer service. You enjoy troubleshooting maintenance challenges, working independently, and taking ownership of your work while ensuring residents feel supported and valued.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESPrevious residential, multifamily, or general maintenance experience preferredWorking knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenanceStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent customer service and communication abilitiesAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionBasic computer or mobile device skills for work order managementBASIC REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED requiredTrade school certification or maintenance-related training preferredValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to travel between Mt.
