    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III / Electro Mechanical Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of production and manufacturing equipment at our Alexandria, VA facility.

    The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown response, equipment repair, and maintaining reliable plant operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on production and manufacturing equipment.

    • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery and related equipment.

    • Diagnose and repair electrical components including starters, fuses, contacts, relays, and frequency drives/VFDs.

    • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.

    • Troubleshoot mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components.

    • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform root-cause/breakdown analysis.

    • Repair, adjust, and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime.

    • Read and apply equipment manuals, technical documentation, and manufacturer instructions.

    • Perform equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues before failures occur.

    • Work independently with limited supervision while following established safety and maintenance procedures.

    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to appropriate team members.

    • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and plant operations.

    Required Qualifications

    • Hands-on experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance.

    • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

    • Experience performing preventive maintenance on production/manufacturing equipment.

    • Working knowledge of starters, fuses, contacts, relays, and frequency drives/VFDs.

    • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

    • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    • Strong breakdown troubleshooting and equipment repair capabilities.

    • Ability to understand and apply equipment/product manuals.

    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with electromechanical controls.

    • PLC troubleshooting or programming experience.

    • Experience working with automated production equipment.

    • Food manufacturing or other high-volume manufacturing experience.

    Work Environment

    This is an onsite manufacturing position in Alexandria, VA. The technician will work directly with production and maintenance teams in a fast-paced industrial environment where equipment uptime, safety, and operational efficiency are critical.
