As a Maintenance Technician III, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all equipment products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Duties include preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment as needed and installation of new process equipment. Responsible for training new employees in maintenance process and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Exemplary leader in all safe work practices and procedures.
Demonstrate 5S standards to maintain a clean and safe work area.
Carryout verbal and written instructions from Foreman.
Responsible for the development and training of other team members in maintenance standards and procedures.
Performs Foreman I duties in the absence of Foreman.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and schedule.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturers instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Perform regular preventative maintenance per PM schedule and provides feedback when PM schedule may require adjustments.
Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation
Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Instrumental in the installation of new production equipment and required infrastructure
Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions.
All other duties as assigned.
Experience:
HS Diploma or equivalent
Related degree from a technical college, a plus
5+ years of proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including welding and plasma cutting
Skills & Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance
Ability to read and understand written instructions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Average proficiency in mathematics
