Maintenance Technician I – Seaway Bolt & Specials Co. – Columbia Station, OH.    

 

Job Duties: (Multiple Positions) Under direct supervision, assist with a variety of major and minor repair work including but not limited to: spindle bearings, shafts, gears, motors, clutches, brakes, lubrication systems, pumps, cams, minor and major machine rebuilds, adjustments, and troubleshooting. Suggest continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities. Under direct supervision, safely assist with the following operations: welding, cutting, brazing, grinding, drilling, tapping, and general use of small hand tools. Follow instructions given by senior team members on a variety of preventative maintenance and machine related issues. Maintain machine tools and equipment in a safe operating condition for production team members as directed and always be mindful of potential safety hazards. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion. Assist with minor mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs to building as required and identify major repairs needed. Properly use and maintain gages. Document any minor maintenance performed in PLEX. Demonstrate cooperation and teamwork as a team member. Know who to go to when a problem arises. With assistance from the supervisor, read and follow mechanical blueprints. Know and apply all plant and environmental safety concepts. Follow ISO9001/IATF16949 procedures relative to maintenance. Perform other duties and assignments as requested by the maintenance supervisor. Responsible for grounds & building maintenance including lawn cutting, trimming, racking, shoveling, dissing, removal of weeds, etc. Perform light janitorial duties: re-stock, clean, and maintain common areas of the facility, including restrooms. Sort or clean products. Under direct supervision, perform minor electrical troubleshooting (i.e., fuse changes, continuity checks, etc.). Under direct supervision, perform minor mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on the following machines: headers, conveyors, roll thread machine, part washers, air compressors, vibratory feed systems, and other machinery as required.  

 

Minimum Requirements: Must have a high school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent. Must have 1 year of previous employment experience.    

 

Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.
