Maintenance Technician I

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I for our client in Kernersville. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of basic maintenance experience including preventative maintenance, follow blueprints/schematics, performing basic repairs/replacements on industrial equipment and using hand/power tools.

Schedule & Pay
Schedule: 2pm-10pm OR 10pm-6am
Starting Pay: $25-27.00/hr.
Job Type: Direct Hire

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain equipment and machinery.
• Operate hand tools and perform basic mechanical tasks.
• Assist with preventative maintenance procedures.
• Use grinders, belt sanders, and drills safely and effectively.
• Perform basic repairs and replacements (motors, pumps, gearboxes, etc.) under senior guidance.
• Understand and assist with emission control systems and air, chiller, and cooling systems.
• Support scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Complete required mechanical/electrical aptitude testing.
• Independently troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
• Cut and thread pipe for industrial applications.
• Demonstrate basic electrical knowledge.
• Repair or rebuild diaphragm and motor-driven pumps.
• Diagnose and replace mechanical drive system components.

Job Requirements

• Proven mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.
• Familiarity with industrial tools and machines.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Prior industrial or mechanical experience is a plus.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Proven history of good attendance.
