The Operations Department plays a vital role in ensuring the functionality, safety, and efficiency of our facilities and infrastructure. This department oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of buildings, equipment, and essential services to support the delivery of high-quality care and services to our clients and staff.
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the agency's facilities, including historical buildings built in the late 1800s to early 1900s, ranging up to 40,000 square feet with multiple floors and elevators. This position requires hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, and general building maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and operational standards. The Maintenance Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining aging infrastructure, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and structural issues, and working with exterminators to mitigate rodent infestations.
