A well-established machine shop in Northwest Houston is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep manufacturing equipment operating safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and making repairs in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, and equipment adjustments.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
Repair, disassemble, and reassemble machinery, replacing worn or damaged components as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and safety.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed repairs.
Follow all company safety procedures and applicable OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
13 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, plant, or industrial environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and work in an industrial environment.
High school diploma or GED required; technical training, vocational education, or an apprenticeship is a plus.
Reliable work history and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Compensation
$22$28 per hour, depending on experience.
