    About the Opportunity

    We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a major pharmaceutical manufacturing project in Holly Springs, NC. This position plays a critical role in preparing and energizing Direct Impact Systems for Commissioning and Qualification following Mechanical Completion.

    This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical aptitude who enjoy hands-on work, troubleshooting equipment, and working alongside engineers in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. We are open to both experienced technicians and candidates with a few years of related experience who are eager to learn and grow.

    Responsibilities

    • Support Set-to-Work (STW) activities to safely energize Direct Impact Systems for the first time
    • Execute STW protocols alongside engineering and project teams
    • Prepare tools, equipment, and resources required to meet project schedules
    • Perform system walkdowns using P&IDs to verify equipment and system readiness
    • Assist with startup activities for bioreactors, water systems, preparation tanks, and other process equipment
    • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective work as needed
    • Repair leaks, secure valves, and address system deficiencies before commissioning
    • Support calibration and field activities required for system functionality
    • Work closely with engineers, technicians, and commissioning teams to ensure systems are ready for qualification
    • Follow all site safety procedures and GMP requirements
    • Operate lifts and other equipment safely (training provided)

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on technical work
    • Experience using hand and power tools
    • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs
    • Understanding of industrial piping systems and mechanical equipment
    • Strong commitment to safety and quality
    • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including climbing ladders, using lifts, and working around industrial equipment
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    Preferred

    • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or manufacturing experience
    • Experience supporting commissioning, startup, maintenance, or construction activities
    • Familiarity with process equipment such as bioreactors, water systems, pumps, valves, or tanks
    • Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems
    • Understanding of calibration activities and process systems

    Education & Experience

    • No degree required
    • Open to candidates with a few years of relevant experience as well as experienced maintenance technicians
    • Technical training, military experience, trade school, industrial maintenance, or related backgrounds are highly valued
