Location: Vernon County, WI

Positions Available: 2

Schedule: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM | Rotating schedule with every-other-weekend coverage

Employment Type: Hourly Pay: $26–$33/hour + shift premiums

About the Opportunity

We are seeking two skilled Maintenance Technicians to join a highly automated dairy manufacturing facility in Vernon County, WI.

This is a hands-on, multi-craft maintenance role supporting a 24/7 production environment. You’ll play a critical role in keeping production, packaging, automation, and utility systems operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Schedule

Two positions are available:

  • Position 1: Wednesday/Thursday + every other Friday–Sunday
  • Position 2: Monday/Tuesday + every other weekend
  • Shift: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
  • Weekend schedule rotates every other weekend

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the facility
  • Maintain highly automated production and packaging systems
  • Diagnose issues involving PLCs, VFDs, motors, controls, and automated equipment
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability
  • Maintain pumps, conveyors, separators, pasteurizers, and other processing equipment
  • Support instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary processing systems
  • Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings
  • Assist with plant utility systems and equipment
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and compliant production environment
  • Partner with production and operations teams to minimize downtime
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and equipment reliability

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Manufacturing maintenance experience required; food & beverage experience strongly preferred
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment
  • Hands-on experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, or wastewater systems is a plus
  • Strong preventive maintenance and continuous improvement mindset
  • Commitment to food safety and workplace safety
  • Ability to work independently and effectively on a 6 PM–6 AM shift
