Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months (possible extension; potential to convert to permanent)
• Pay Rate: $21.00 $22.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, with potential for overtime

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
• Impact team through defined duties, methods, and tasks as described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
• Perform fire safety tasks.
• Perform eyewash/shower maintenance.
• Perform light electrical work.
• Perform light plumbing work.
• Perform general maintenance tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Any advanced knowledge of general maintenance, hand tools, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry skills

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Required Experience

• 1 2 years of job-related experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Multi-use facility office space and lab space
• Safety glasses and gloves required in lab spaces (provided by client)
• Client-facing role
• Uniform will be provided
• Working as part of a team and independently
• Variety of tasks throughout the day
• Must meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Overtime may be required
• Pre-employment background check (CBRE Safety Specific) and drug screen required
