    Position Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production and packaging operations in a food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production.

    The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical and basic electrical experience, understands food-grade environments, and can respond quickly to minimize downtime.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment
    • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
    • Maintain and repair conveyors, fillers, sealers, mixers, ovens, and packaging machinery
    • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production support calls
    • Perform machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments
    • Conduct equipment inspections to ensure reliability and safety
    • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
    • Document maintenance activities using CMMS or work order systems
    • Follow GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements
    • Adhere to all safety policies, including lockout/tagout procedures

    Qualifications

    • 2–5+ years of maintenance experience in a food, beverage, or consumer goods manufacturing environment
    • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
    • Basic electrical knowledge (motors, sensors, wiring, controls)
    • Experience with conveyors and packaging machinery
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Willingness to work off-shifts, weekends, or on-call as needed

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience with high-speed packaging lines
    • Pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge
    • PLC troubleshooting exposure (not programming-heavy)
    • Familiarity with FDA-regulated or GMP environments
    • Welding or fabrication experience
