Maintenance Technician (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Fountain Inn, SC
Shift:2nd or 3rd Shift 
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 month contract period )

What You Need

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

  • Experience troubleshooting AC/DC motors, motor controls, and drives

  • Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics

  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and documenting work in a CMMS

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights when needed

What Your Role Will Look Like

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment

  • Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, gearboxes, plastic extruders, and other production machinery

  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using testing equipment

  • Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, drives, PLC-controlled equipment, and industrial controls

  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics

  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and work orders using the CMMS system

  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and standard maintenance shop equipment

  • Assist with training less experienced maintenance technicians

  • Plan and prioritize maintenance activities with minimal supervision

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Follow all safety procedures and perform other maintenance-related duties as needed
