Maintenance Mechanic / PM Technician. In this active, high-impact role, you will perform preventative maintenance, assist with mechanical and hydraulic repairs, and help keep daily production machinery running smoothly. If you have 13+ years of equipment maintenance experience and are looking for steady weekday hours, solid pay up to $27/hr, and long-term stability, we want to hear from you!
Description for Maintenance Mechanic:
- Execute routine preventative maintenance (PM) schedules across active production machinery.
- Perform mechanical repairs and assist with basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting under senior tech guidance.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, precision measuring tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Assist with basic component swaps (motors, sensors, switches, belts, bearings) to minimize plant downtime.
- Strictly enforce OSHA guidelines, safety standards, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during all maintenance tasks.
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs, track spare parts, and assist with light rigging or equipment moves as needed.
Details for Maintenance Mechanic:
- Pay Rate: $30.00 / hour DOE.
- Schedule: Monday Friday, Day Shift (Start/End times scheduled between 5:00 AM 5:00 PM).
- Location: Pierce County, WA facility.
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire path featuring long-term company growth.
Requirements for Maintenance Mechanic:
- Experience: 13 years of experience in facility, mechanical, or equipment maintenance (manufacturing background preferred).
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, or basic electrical systems.
- Safety: Solid knowledge of OSHA safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, climb, and perform active physical maintenance labor throughout the shift.
- Reliability: Proven record of punctual daily attendance and reliable personal transportation.
- Bonus Points: Forklift certification, machine rigging experience, or trade school certifications!
