Maintenance Technician – Facilities & Equipment

Location: St. George, UT
Pay: $21.00–$24.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support facility operations and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, repairing equipment, and ensuring the facility remains safe, functional, and operating efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain building systems including lighting, doors, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility infrastructure.
  • Conduct repairs on conveyors, production equipment, forklifts, and other operational machinery.
  • Complete work orders and maintain maintenance records.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work area.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, facility, or equipment maintenance required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance equipment.
  • Welding, fabrication, or forklift experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in varying conditions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Comfortable working around machinery, production equipment, and industrial environments.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.
