Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing and converting equipment according to established schedules.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment.
- Lubricate, clean, adjust, and replace wear components as directed.
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Complete maintenance work orders and PM documentation accurately.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all plant safety procedures.
- Assist senior technicians with equipment repairs and machine rebuild projects.
- Identify potential equipment concerns and communicate findings to maintenance leadership.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
- Participate in training programs to develop maintenance skills.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial maintenance.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and basic power tools.
- Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions and procedures.
- Strong attendance and dependability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Preferred
- Technical school coursework, vocational training, or maintenance-related experience.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Ability to work around industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and production environments.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry maintenance materials and components.
