Maintenance Technician - Level 3

Location: Dayton, OH

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 5 months
  • Pay Rate: $30.00 $32.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
  • Travel Requirements: Candidate will be traveling to different sites within a 30 70 mile radius
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

As a Mobile Technician, you will perform repairs and tend to several buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and ground requests. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Manage and track completion.
  • Support energy management by taking measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
  • Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
  • Perform building inspections.
  • Perform general building maintenance.
  • Perform light plumbing tasks.
  • Perform light electrical tasks.

  • Trade school diploma

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school diploma preferred.
  • In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Universal License required
  • Valid Driver's License required

Required Experience

  • 5 7 years of job-related experience required.
  • 5 years of experience in general maintenance (minimum)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Independent work environment; candidate works autonomously across multiple sites.
  • Candidate must live within a 30-mile radius of the Southern Dayton, OH area.
  • Travel to different client sites within a 30 70 mile radius is required.
  • Must meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders.
  • Must have the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Background check with drug screen and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) required.
  • Overtime may be required.

  • This role is covering for a medical leave.
  • Position has potential to convert to full-time employment.
  • Interview process: 1st round phone screen; 2nd round virtual (Teams).
  • Local restriction: Candidate must live within a 30-mile radius of the Southern Dayton, OH area.
