    Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

    Now Hiring: Experienced Maintenance Technician

    Nesco Resource is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Columbus area that is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team! If you have a strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background and enjoy troubleshooting automated production equipment, this is a great opportunity to join a stable company with long-term career potential.

    Shift

    Regular Schedule:

    • Monday – Thursday: 4:30 PM – 2:30 AM

    • Friday & Saturday: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

    Training Schedule:

    • Training will take place on 1st Shift for approximately 2–4 weeks before transitioning to the regular schedule.

    What You'll Do

    As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include:

    • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment

    • Perform preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance

    • Diagnose equipment failures and minimize production downtime

    • Repair and maintain automated manufacturing equipment

    • Service and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and CNC controls

    • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals

    • Inspect and maintain electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, and transfer switches

    • Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives

    • Complete facility maintenance as needed, including HVAC, lighting, doors, and building systems

    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair documentation

    • Follow all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area

    • Assist with inventory management and maintenance parts organization

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED required

    • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience

    • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems

    • Experience working with:

      • PLC Systems

      • HMI Interfaces

      • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

      • CNC Controls

    • Experience in a continuous automated manufacturing environment preferred

    • Forklift, Scissor Lift, or Aerial Work Platform certification is a plus

    • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

    • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and email

    • Continuous improvement mindset with a hands-on approach

    Physical Requirements

    • Lift up to 50 pounds as needed

    • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in an industrial manufacturing environment

    • Ability to safely perform maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
