Description

Pay Range: $25.63hr - $30.63hr

Job Overview:

The Maintenance Technician will improve systems and equipment reliability in the assigned process area, reduce system and equipment downtime associated with the assigned process, and support the operation of the assigned process. Key priorities include working well with teams, adapting to a constantly changing environment, and utilizing a strong maintenance background with troubleshooting knowledge.

Essential Functions:

  • Work in a safe and environmentally responsible way.
  • Actively improve performance and reliability of process equipment.
  • Restore function to equipment in an effective and technically correct manner.
  • Actively participate in and support Event Response.
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on assigned process.
  • Operate, monitor, and control equipment, systems, and processes assigned.
  • Support and implement system and equipment reliability improvement projects.
  • Support and assist in all aspects of process operations.
  • Record and review production data in BPRs and associated forms.
  • Perform other accountabilities, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent military training or industrial training (which includes a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems) is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Knowledge in the following systems is preferred: Compressed Air, Electro-Mechanical controls, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and robotics.
  • Ability and experience with automated records systems such as SAP, schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents is preferred.
  • Computer literacy is preferred.
  • Support planning and execution of process functions, and assist in coordination of planned and corrective maintenance activities to ensure successful process performance is a plus.

Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

  • Ability to move equipment and supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions.
  • Ability to routinely operate and inspect manufacturing equipment using hands.
  • Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to demonstrate corrected vision to 20/25.
  • Ability to demonstrate color vision.
  • Ability to occasionally ascend and descend a ladder.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights.
  • Ability to occasionally work around odorous and hazardous materials.
  • Ability to wear latex gloves.
  • Ability to occasionally perform critical job functions in extremely cold work environments.
  • Ability to occasionally position oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection.
