Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations throughout KDM's manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, emergency repairs, and continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and experienced in diagnosing and resolving equipment and facility-related issues in a fast-paced production setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• High School Diploma or GED plus five years of maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, production equipment, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment diagnostics.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

Preferred

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with print, packaging, POP display, or related production equipment.
• Experience with facility maintenance, building systems, and fire/safety systems.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience managing preventative maintenance schedules and minimizing equipment downtime.
