Maintenance Technician PURPOSE: This position is responsible for all Faxon Machining maintenance beyond day to day operator maintenance and includes maintaining the machinery and the facility both inside and out. The maintenance technician conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on all production machines. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud when working on shop floor. At times this position also requires some outdoor exposure during the workday. In addition this position also has a role in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
