Maintenance Technician

This position maintains and repairs the facility's infrastructure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for a variety of mechanical service calls and in-house repairs throughout the facility and grounds.
• Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
• Performs skilled trade work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs, office fixtures, and floor substrates.
• Monitor, maintain, document, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC system including Central Utilities and generators.
• May work from sketches, blueprints, and drawings.
• Act as a liaison to sub-contractors.
• Monitors in-house gas supplies (Nitrogen and Argon).
• Keeps stakeholders informed of work progress and of any issues in their respective areas.
• Must conduct 2 daily walks of entire facilities and report any descrepancies/issues to Facilities Manager within 30 minutes of discovery.
