    Description

    The Fuller Center is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, cleanliness, and functionality of our campuses by performing routine, preventative, and general maintenance tasks. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Technician works both independently and collaboratively to maintain high-quality facilities for our students, staff, and guests.

    Responsibilities
     
    • Ensure facilities meet or exceed health and safety standards set forth by Fuller Center, the Palm Beach County Health Department, Fire Departments, and all applicable licensing or regulatory agencies.
    • Perform thorough daily walk-throughs, remove trash, debris, and weeds, and report additional maintenance needs to the Facility Manager and/or Director of Operations.
    • Complete punch list items and service requests in a timely, satisfactory manner across all facility locations as requested.
    • Perform general repairs related to carpentry, plumbing, machinery, light bulb replacement, A/C filter changes, painting, and other routine tasks.
    • Perform monthly preventative and safety maintenance tasks, documenting necessary repairs, services, and ongoing maintenance activities.
    • Perform routine landscaping maintenance and assist with set up/breakdown for meetings and events as needed.
    • Maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas, ensuring proper care, organization, and optimal working order.
    • Move items upon request and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Communicate appropriately and effectively in both nonverbal and verbal styles with children, co-workers, and guests.
    • Legibly, accurately, and thoroughly complete all required documentation and maintenance logs.
    • Report all safety hazards immediately and complete all required incident reports and logs before the end of each shift.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements
     
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
    • Physical capability to bend, stand for extended periods, and frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, taking direction from leadership and team members.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in completing maintenance documentation and safety logs.

    Preferred / Desired Qualifications
     
    • Prior maintenance, facilities, or trades experience (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, basic HVAC, painting) in an educational, non-profit, or multi-site environment.
    • Familiarity with local health, safety, and fire department regulatory standards.

    Compensation & Benefits
    • Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
