Join our amazing team and contribute as a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will perform various tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems throughout the cement manufacturing facility.
Perform routine and complex tasks associated with maintaining mechanical systems throughout the facility.
Work alongside and provide oversight to contractor personnel during maintenance activities.
Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy industrial equipment, including routine servicing and lubrication.
Participate in formal and on-the-job training programs to acquire and broaden technical and non-technical skills; actively engage in cross-training activities.
Work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and overtime as assigned.
Perform other operational duties as assigned.
Demonstrate a strict commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work areas while promoting a proactive safety culture.
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred: 2-year Technical Degree or Vocational Certification in a related mechanical field.
Experience & Technical Skills:
Industrial Experience: 2 to 4 years of industrial maintenance experience required; 4 to 5 years of industrial chemical or heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
Practical Skills: Demonstrated technical ability in troubleshooting air compressors, repairing bearings, repairing drives, installing equipment, industrial lubrication, piping, rigging, welding/cutting, and equipment fabrication.
Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency with automated maintenance/inventory systems.
Licensure: Valid Driver's License preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Safety Requirements:
Willingness to assist other plant departments as needed.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators.
Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal contacts the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit testing standards under OSHA regulations.
Base Pay: $24.00 – $32.00 per hour
