Description

  • Job Title: Maintenance Technician
  • Pay Range: $24.00 – $32.00 per hour (commensurate with industrial experience)

About the Role

Join our amazing team and contribute as a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will perform various tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems throughout the cement manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex tasks associated with maintaining mechanical systems throughout the facility.

  • Work alongside and provide oversight to contractor personnel during maintenance activities.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy industrial equipment, including routine servicing and lubrication.

  • Participate in formal and on-the-job training programs to acquire and broaden technical and non-technical skills; actively engage in cross-training activities.

  • Work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and overtime as assigned.

  • Perform other operational duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrate a strict commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work areas while promoting a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Preferred: 2-year Technical Degree or Vocational Certification in a related mechanical field.

Experience & Technical Skills:

  • Industrial Experience: 2 to 4 years of industrial maintenance experience required; 4 to 5 years of industrial chemical or heavy manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Practical Skills: Demonstrated technical ability in troubleshooting air compressors, repairing bearings, repairing drives, installing equipment, industrial lubrication, piping, rigging, welding/cutting, and equipment fabrication.

  • Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency with automated maintenance/inventory systems.

  • Licensure: Valid Driver's License preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Safety Requirements:

  • Willingness to assist other plant departments as needed.

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators.

  • Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal contacts the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit testing standards under OSHA regulations.
