Maintenance Technician

Our client, a well-established food manufacturer in Battleboro, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role offers hands-on variety, from production-floor equipment to water treatment systems, plus the chance to build electrical skills on the job. The ideal candidate is a mechanically strong troubleshooter who enjoys diagnosing problems and keeping a food production operation running at its best.

Job Responsibilities -

- Walk the production floor daily to identify and address equipment issues early.

- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures on production equipment to minimize downtime.

- Complete preventive maintenance on schedule and keep accurate repair records.

- Support production teams during scheduled product changeovers.

- Service outdoor wastewater treatment equipment.

- Review daily shift reports and resolve or coordinate repairs for flagged issues.

- Keep the facility in line with OSHA, food safety, and sanitation standards.

- Monitor fire protection and cooling systems and assist with safety training.



Job Requirements -

- Maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.

- Mechanic-level skills with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.

- Working knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.

- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.

- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

- Electrical experience a plus; training available for the right candidate.

- Experience with wastewater or water treatment systems a plus.
