Description

We are seeking a GSE Build Technician II to independently perform fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, verification, and modification of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) supporting rocket production, testing, and launch operations.

Job Responsibilities

Build, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify launch pad, test stand, production, and facility GSE. 
Fabricate and install stainless-steel tubing, piping, valves, regulators, gauges, manifolds, fittings, and mechanical supports. 
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and work instructions. 
Perform tube preparation, bending, routing, fitting, torqueing, leak checks, flushing, cleaning, and system verification. 
Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, high-pressure gas, cryogenic, pump, and fluid systems. 
Perform troubleshooting and identify configuration or installation discrepancies. 
Follow LOTO, FOD, ESD, PPE, contamination-control, cleanliness, safety, and quality requirements. 
Support test-stand construction, launch-site activities, commissioning, maintenance, and system modifications. 
Document work, discrepancies, photos, and configuration details using JIRA or electronic work-management systems. 
Participate in rigging/material-handling activities and provide hands-on support to Level I technicians. 

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. 
3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical fabrication, maintenance, aerospace, industrial, military, aviation, process piping, or related fields. 
Strong experience with mechanical assembly, fabrication, tubing/piping, valves, fittings, hydraulic or pneumatic systems. 
Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and precision measurement equipment. 
Ability to independently interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs. 
Strong understanding of workmanship, configuration control, safety, cleanliness, and documentation. 
Ability to work independently in industrial, production, test-stand, and outdoor environments.
