Maintenance Technician- Ammonia Refrigeration

If you have industrial ammonia refrigeration experience and enjoy hands-on maintenance in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great opportunity. In this role, you'll help keep our refrigeration systems, facility equipment, and warehouse operations running safely and efficiently while working alongside an experienced maintenance team.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably.
• Troubleshoot and maintain compressors, pumps, valves, evaporators, condensers, and other refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems, motors, controls, and production equipment.
• Perform general facility maintenance, including plumbing, mechanical systems, and building repairs.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Complete preventative maintenance schedules and document work in our CMMS system.
• Communicate equipment issues and recommend improvements to help minimize downtime.
• Follow all safety, PSM, and company procedures while working around ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Partner with contractors and vendors when needed to support maintenance projects.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or similar environments.
• 1-2 years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience (or equivalent trade school training).
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to read equipment diagrams (P&IDs are a plus).
• Experience using a CMMS for work orders and preventative maintenance is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• RETA Operator I, CARO, or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within the first six months).
• Experience working in food production, cold storage, or refrigerated warehouse environments.

Work Environment

• Work in both refrigerated and ambient warehouse environments, with temperatures ranging from -20°F to 100°F depending on the area.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Flexible to support overtime, on-call, or weekend work as needed.
• Comfortable working around industrial equipment and varying noise levels.

Pay Range:$24.71 - $41.68
