We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery and technology within a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and improving our cutting-edge production equipment. This position requires a hands-on approach, a strong technical acumen, and a passion for problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of complex machinery including FANUC robotics, hydraulic systems, pneumatic equipment, and electrical systems.
2. Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
3. Implementing mechanical maintenance best practices to ensure the optimal performance of machinery and equipment.
4. Working with a variety of plastics processing machinery including injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, and thermoforming.
5. Identifying and recommending improvements to enhance the efficiency and functionality of machinery and equipment.
6. Collaborating with the engineering team to resolve technical issues and implement new processes.
7. Ensuring all maintenance work and repairs comply with safety regulations and company standards.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this exciting role will have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the engineering industry.
2. Proven experience with FANUC robotics, hydraulic systems, pneumatic equipment, and electrical systems.
3. Extensive knowledge of mechanical maintenance and experience with plastics processing machinery including injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, and thermoforming.
4. A strong understanding of safety regulations and maintenance protocols.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
7. A degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field would be an advantage.
