Job Description

Shift: Afternoon

Shift Premium Amount: $1.00

Pay Rate: $27.00 depending on experience

Position Summary: These 3rd and 2nd shift positions is responsible for providing maintenance support to all operations in our plant. The candidate must have strong industrial mechanical and electrical knowledge. A basic understanding of bulk material transport equipment to include loaders, hoppers, and vacuum system is desired. The candidate should possess basic computer skills, have a good work ethic, and be safety minded with the ability to work in a group environment or independently. A basic understanding of Continuous Improvement is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance to meet safety, housekeeping, quality, cost, and production requirements with minimal supervision.
  • Perform trouble shooting of equipment both mechanical and electrical following Sealed Air safety rules
  • Perform overhauls and preventative maintenance inspections on machinery and equipment.
  • Install new equipment and make modifications to existing equipment.
  • Understanding of Lockout/Tagout procedures to Safely secure equipment.
  • Perform standard maintenance tasks to maintain facilities and grounds not limited to machines.
  • Accept personal responsibility for condition of assigned equipment.
  • Prepare written and verbal reports/recommendations.
  • Assist other maintenance team members as required in support of plant goals.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two-year technical degree preferred.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Industrial Mechanical -Electrical maintenance or related field.
  • Strong electrical background with low and high voltage troubleshooting knowledge
  • Millwork, machine work, and welding experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills are required
  • Safety conscious mindset.
  • Use of MS Office.
  • Experience using a computer (SAP, MS Office, Lotus Notes experience desired).
  • Ability to drive a forklift/boom lift is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to frequently lift 40 lbs.
  • Able to constantly work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
  • Able to frequently ascend/descend a ladders/platform as required to repair equipment.
