Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.
Position Responsibilities - Essential
Perform both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery
Perform Preventive and Predictive maintenance on production equipment
Effectively troubleshoot failures and work in team environment to determine root cause of failure
Participate in plant shift meeting and continuous improvement activities
Utilize CMMS system to manage work orders and review work history
Execution of all duties with a safety-first mindset and approach
Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a "safety-sensitive" position
Position Responsibilities - Non-Essential/Other
Essential Skills and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required, post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate a plus. Mechatronics degree preferred
At least 5 years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair
Experience with PLC and CNC test equipment to include troubleshooting, repairs, PM's, and other world-class maintenance measures
Experienced, preferably by formal training, in principles and standards for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment operations
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
Ability to write detailed repair reports
Must have good mathematical skills, including basic algebra, to calculate electrical/electronic equations as needed
Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
