    Description

    Function                The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining all Hanes Dye and Finishing, Geo Components, and facility equipment. Maintenance Tech I oversee performing routine preventative facility and machine maintenance and are to maintain a high-quality standard through good preventative maintenance practices.Duties
    • Clean and inspect machines for worn, damaged, or mis-aligned parts.
    • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements as needed.
    • Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, fluid handling, and electrical systems.
    • Respond to calls in a timely manner and quickly troubleshoot manufacturing breakdowns to prevent unnecessary downtime.
    • Replace or rebuild worn guides, belts, bearings, gearboxes, and pumps.
    • Perform Boiler startup, blowdown procedure, and facility water treatment.
    • Follow Lock-out Tag-out procedures when working on equipment.
    • Must be able to multi-task in a high paced manufacturing environment.
    • General housekeeping, communication, and safe work practices.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned by Manager.
    Hours of Work
    • 1st Shift – 7a-3p                   2nd Shift – 4p-12a
                  (May vary due to production requirements)Requirements
    • Must be a team player, and willing to assist in other areas when necessary.
    • Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience required.
    • Machine maintenance experience required.
    • Basic electrical experience preferred.
    • Pipefitting experience preferred.
    • HVAC experience preferred.
    • Facilities maintenance experience preferred.
    • High School Diploma or GED.
