Function The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining all Hanes Dye and Finishing, Geo Components, and facility equipment. Maintenance Tech I oversee performing routine preventative facility and machine maintenance and are to maintain a high-quality standard through good preventative maintenance practices.
Duties- Clean and inspect machines for worn, damaged, or mis-aligned parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements as needed.
- Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, fluid handling, and electrical systems.
- Respond to calls in a timely manner and quickly troubleshoot manufacturing breakdowns to prevent unnecessary downtime.
- Replace or rebuild worn guides, belts, bearings, gearboxes, and pumps.
- Perform Boiler startup, blowdown procedure, and facility water treatment.
- Follow Lock-out Tag-out procedures when working on equipment.
- Must be able to multi-task in a high paced manufacturing environment.
- General housekeeping, communication, and safe work practices.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by Manager.
Hours of Work- 1st Shift – 7a-3p 2nd Shift – 4p-12a
(May vary due to production requirements)
Requirements- Must be a team player, and willing to assist in other areas when necessary.
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience required.
- Machine maintenance experience required.
- Basic electrical experience preferred.
- Pipefitting experience preferred.
- HVAC experience preferred.
- Facilities maintenance experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED.
