Maintenance Tech II

GENERAL SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Engineering Supervisor and/or Manager, performs general, routine maintenance and servicing operations throughout the hospital plant and associated buildings. Work to include inspection, preventative maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities and utility systems. Work is performed in accordance to departmental and manufacturers standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs minor construction and equipment installations. Records and updates documentation of repairs. Takes lead role on a variety of different projects and is expected to independently carry out assigned responsibilities. Seeks guidance from the Supervisor and/or Manager when needed. May assist in planning and scheduling various tasks and projects. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned. LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS required MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS High school graduate or equivalent. Technical training and work experience in a trade with a Masters level preferred or equivalent experience and/or training. Broad knowledge of all other trades. Some supervisory or lead experience preferred. Must meet the insurability policy requirements to drive a CHKD vehicle. Must be able to pass the CHKD driving test within 30 days of employment.
