Thrive Communities is looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician to help keep Assembly118 operating safely, efficiently, and comfortably for residents. This is a hands-on position supporting apartment homes, common areas, equipment, and the overall appearance of the community.

The Maintenance Technician works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager and plays an important role in providing responsive service to residents.

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on property equipment, tools, and systems.
  • Diagnose and perform minor and routine repairs inside apartment homes and throughout the community.
  • Assist with apartment make-ready and unit-turn work, including identifying repairs and helping coordinate needed services.
  • Perform appliance-related maintenance and repairs as appropriate.
  • Help maintain clean, orderly grounds and common areas.
  • Respond to maintenance requests with professionalism and attention to resident needs.
  • Follow direction from the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager while taking initiative on assigned projects.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment and use appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the onsite team to support a positive resident experience.
  • Perform other property-maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience is preferred, particularly in residential or property management environments, but is not required.
  • Experience with apartment unit turns and appliance repair is a plus.
  • Strong customer-service skills and a professional approach when interacting with residents and coworkers.
  • Reliable team player who communicates effectively and follows through on assignments.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, take initiative, and develop within the role.
  • Ability to work the Friday-Tuesday schedule, including weekends.
  • Ability to provide and use standard maintenance tools.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on, onsite position. The work may require:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods, with occasional sitting depending on the task.
  • Bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and climbing stairs.
  • Pushing and pulling equipment or materials.
  • Working at a computer and using a telephone when needed.
  • Remaining on your feet for a significant portion of the workday.
  • Lifting, moving, pushing, or pulling materials weighing up to 150 pounds occasionally, with more frequent handling of items weighing approximately 25-75 pounds.
