Summary:Supervise Mechanics and Electricians in the Body ShopJob Responsibilities:Implement and actively support corporate safety policies, initiatives, and plant housekeeping standards.Diagnose equipment malfunction, determine root causes, and initiate immediate and long-term corrections.Support plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals.Supervise construction and maintenance projects.Assist in the implementation of divisional and corporate policies.Maintain schedule and quality requirements.Implement safety and good housekeeping standards.Train, develop, and evaluate employees.Comply with terms of Local and National Labor agreements and supports divisional and corporate policies.Initiate contact with internal and external teams when required to solve problems.Implement planned maintenance activities.Complete work assignments required within budget, manpower and timing constraints.Support plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals.Supervise construction and maintenance projects.Maintain schedule and quality requirements.Required Skills:Experience reading and understanding electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprintsExperience solving complex problems and working in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills, experience managing conflict and decision makingExperience managing, leading people, and addressing performance concernsDemonstrate a high analytical ability to solve complex problemsBasic computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Word, typing, email, etc.)Preferred Skills:Strong critical thinking and analytical skillsExperience working on multiple projects simultaneouslyWillingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourcefulHigh level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, self-directedExperience collaborating across multiple functions within a manufacturing settingEducation/Experience:Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.Trained in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training.10+ years of experience required.Hiring Manager's Top Skills:Maintenance BackgroundPeople leadership experienceAutomotive welding background - understand the process and the quality experienceShift Information:1st 5:30AM- 3PM2nd 3:30PM - 1 AM3rd 9:30PM - 7AM3 shifts of coverageRotation is based on what the group leaders like to doThey can work any of the 3 shifts - need to be open to working any shiftWill train on 1st shift initially for approx. 2-3 weeksThey work every other weekend, maybe one weekend a month.
