- Supervises and manage the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the maintenance team. Ensure proper utilization and development of resources and skillsets to maximize machine uptime.
- Coordinate with corporate environmental, health & safety leadership to ensure compliance and best practices, promoting a world class health and safety management process.
- Enforce safety policies and coordinate regulatory compliance.
- Support maintenance budget control and participate in maintenance departmental budgeting, including forecasting parts, contractor services, utilities and capital improvement needs.
- Monitor maintenance spending, identify cost-savings opportunities and provide recommendations to ensure budget objectives are achieved while maintaining equipment reliability and facility performance.
- Determine material, equipment, and supplies needed for daily maintenance functions and ensure work orders are completed accurately, timely, and cost effectively. Allocate equipment and personnel across multiple projects to ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Manage spare parts inventories determining critical needs and working with vendors to ensure parts are on hand and equipment is maintained with minimal downtime.
