    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

    • Assign preventative maintenance duties and assign equipment repair requests to Maintenance Mechanics.
    • Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair schedules for company owned trailers.
    • Respond to requests by BDS Foremen for emergency repairs to equipment (flat tires, electrical problems, forklift repair issues, etc.).
    • Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with company safety rules and OSHA regulations.
    • Plan, supervise, and complete special projects as requested by Plant Manager or Maintenance Superintendent.
    • Inspect and repair plumbing fixtures, electrical wire, and heating/air conditioning units.
    • Contact vendors or sales representatives for emergency replacement of critical machinery parts.

    Job Specifications or Qualifications:

    Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED, plus Vocation or Technical Education is preferred.

    Experience: 5 years of Maintenance experience or related experience is required.

    Supervisory Experience: 2 to 5 years of similar supervisory experience is preferred.

    Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will encounter adverse conditions daily. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
