Position Overview:
We’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and complete facility maintenance, safety, and repairs across multiple daycare locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and takes pride in keeping environments safe, clean, and welcoming for children, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and perform routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements at all centers (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, etc.).
Conduct regular safety and compliance inspections in accordance with state childcare licensing standards.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and inspectors for larger repair or renovation projects.
Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and records for equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
Ensure playgrounds, classrooms, and outdoor areas meet health and safety requirements.
Manage maintenance supply inventory and stay within budget.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
Lead with professionalism, prioritizing safety and minimal disruption to children’s daily routines.
Qualifications:
3+ years of maintenance or facilities management experience (childcare, school, or similar environment preferred).
Working knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks safely.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel between centers required).
Must pass background check and meet all childcare licensing requirements.
Preferred:
Experience in environments regulated by health and safety or childcare standards.
