We are seeking a skilled professional to supervise the technical and administrative operations at the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pivotal project, ensuring the community continues to receive high-quality potable water as we transition to the new Prospect Lake Plant.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise and evaluate the work of assigned staff, ensuring efficient operations.
- Identify and address preventative maintenance needs for equipment and structures.
- Collaborate with plant management to assess the plant's overall status.
- Develop plans and procedures to meet work production goals and maintain records.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring for the assigned area.
- Manage inventory of supplies, equipment, materials, and chemicals.
- Participate in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair as needed.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Work around medium voltage, rotating equipment, and hazardous chemicals.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Direct contractors and consultants as necessary.
- Initiate training requests for staff development.
Requirements
- High school diploma, trade school graduation, or G.E.D. certificate.
- 5 to 7 years of related experience, with some supervisory experience or training.
- Knowledge of state and federal guidelines for public water and wastewater systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
Preferences
- Completion of coursework at an accredited college or university in a related field.
