    Description

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Oversee maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, building structures, roofing, emergency exit signs, and loading docks.
    • Conduct facility inspections to identify and address potential issues, perform preventative maintenance, and complete minor repairs.
    • Maintain and repair company equipment, including forklifts, pickers, conveyor belts, air compressors, trash compactors, key machines, and wire guidance systems.
    • Order and manage inventory of replacement parts, warehouse maintenance supplies, and janitorial supplies.
    • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the maintenance department by performing regular equipment wipe-downs, floor sweeping, and general upkeep.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with building systems and production equipment.
    • Provide on-call support after hours to ensure operational continuity and facility safety.
    • Supervise and direct maintenance personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards.
    • Train and develop maintenance team members, assigning work and monitoring performance.
    • Work closely with other departments to support facility needs and special projects.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

     

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one year of relevant experience in facility maintenance and operations.
    • Knowledge of building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
    • Familiarity with powered equipment and warehouse operations.
    • Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating manuals, and procedure documentation.
    • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate measurements, rates, and quantities.
    • Experience supervising maintenance personnel is preferred.
    • Powered Equipment Permit preferred.

     

    Where: Decatur, MI Location

    Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
