Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision of maintenance team, including development and performance evaluation.
  • Assist/handle any issues or questions technician may have and provide guidance and necessary training.
  • Provide and perform feedback and periodic reviews to technicians.
  • Manage 3rd party contractors that are utilized to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Approve weekly time sheets and keep updated on a regular basis to ensure employee time is correctly logged in.
  • Handle corrective action of team members in compliance with company policy.
  • Oversee maintenance team’s daily workflow and assignments; communicate daily work order status and coordinate tasks with maintenance staff and peer groups.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Utilize and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance activities, and inventory.
  • Recommend and implement equipment and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Periodically review and ensure procedures for routine work are established.
  • Monitor and manage the maintenance budget.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of spare parts and supplies.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local equipment and supplier vendors.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate’s degree (or higher) a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a chemical manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Possess intermediate knowledge of pipefitting, carpentry, welding, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Some knowledge of building, electrical codes and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 and OSHA PSM standards.
  • Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and maintenance instructions.
  • Excellent communication and team development skills; strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS and other maintenance-related software.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency repairs.
