Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Montgomery, IL

Compensation: $80-90k

Must have Skill Set: 

• Industrial Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance: Strong troubleshooting and repair experience with electrical systems, motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, and related equipment.
• PLC & Controls: Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLCs, reading ladder logic, and working with platforms such as Siemens or Allen Bradley.
• Maintenance Leadership: Ability to direct, train, and develop a maintenance team while remaining hands-on with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Industrial Safety & Manufacturing: Strong understanding of Lockout/Tagout, GMPs, and safe maintenance practices within a manufacturing environment.

Overview:

Job Duties: 

• Lead, direct, and develop the 2nd shift maintenance team while providing hands-on technical support as needed.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and work with PLCs, including Siemens and Allen Bradley, as well as ladder logic, drives, electronics, and instrumentation.
• Support plant utilities and facility systems, including HVAC, boilers, compressors, chillers, combustion systems, fire/sprinkler systems, and general building maintenance.
• Perform and oversee welding, cutting, brazing, plumbing, equipment rebuilds, and other industrial maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility-related prints and schematics.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with applicable GMP and food manufacturing requirements.
• Follow and enforce safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and confined-space requirements.
• Identify equipment issues, develop effective solutions, and implement improvements to increase reliability and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with other department supervisors and cross-functional teams to address production and maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to equipment condition, maintenance activities, projects, materials, and supplies.
• Train, coach, and hold maintenance employees accountable while leading by example.
• Manage multiple priorities and maintenance projects while responding to day-to-day production needs.
• Support a safe, clean, and quality-focused manufacturing environment.

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training or a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Approximately 4+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical industrial maintenance preferred.
• Vocational training in a recognized mechanical or electrical trades program may substitute for a portion of required experience.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience within a maintenance environment preferred.
• Experience in food processing, packaging, manufacturing, or industrial building utilities is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications and maintenance documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical and creative solutions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules as required.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work in cold manufacturing environments, including temperatures of approximately 40°F or below when required
