    Job Purpose

    To lead and manage maintenance activities and capital projects, ensuring optimal reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant operations. The Maintenance and Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, executing, and controlling maintenance work and facility projects, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

    Key Responsibilities

    Maintenance Management

    • Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work orders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards.
    • Communicate effectively with upstream and downstream partners regarding work status, costs and priorities.
    • Manage backlog queue and monitor notification and work order lists as required.
    • Ensure maintenance personnel receive appropriate training, certifications, and skill refreshers, and maintain documentation of qualifications.
    • Collaborate with Maintenance Reliability Specialists, Planners, Schedulers, and Crafts to continuously improve maintenance processes and job planning.
    • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective support to operations.
    • Maintain safe work practices and environmental responsibility.

    Project Management

    • Lead facility change projects including capital projects, from concept development through execution and closure.
    • Develop project goals, objectives, and justifications, including economic incentives.
    • Prepare and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams both internal and external (e.g., Process Engineers, Operations Representatives, Technical Specialists).
    • Identify and allocate resources; track progress, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Analyze and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans.
    • Ensure compliance with Management of Change procedures and other site-specific policies.
    • Document and communicate project status, lessons learned, and post-project reviews.

    Leadership & Teamwork

    • Supervise, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide ongoing feedback to team members.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Solicit and implement feedback on maintenance and project activities.
    • Stay current with new techniques and RAGAGEP in maintenance and project management.
    • Celebrate team achievements and recognize contributions from all team members.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision and/or project management, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical plant setting.
    • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling systems (CMMS).
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the chemical industry (e.g., OSHA 29 CFR, PSM, NFPA 70B, API and ANSI).

    Desirable Skills

    • Experience with capital project management methodologies.
    • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Technologies
    • 3-Phase electrical systems and distributions
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management/planning software.
    • AutoCad
    • Ability to analyze and optimize resource usage and workflow.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate teams.
    • SAP
