Maintenance Superintendent — Automated Injection & Robotics

The challenge

Unplanned downtime is the enemy. You’ll design and execute a reliability playbook that blends preventive and predictive maintenance, robust troubleshooting, and cross-functional teamwork. Your leadership will translate data into decisions that extend asset life, improve throughput, and protect safety.

What you will lead

• Multi-site maintenance operations for injection molding presses, industrial robots, automated cells, auxiliary systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Development, coaching, and daily direction of maintenance technicians, fostering a safe and accountable culture.
• Preventive maintenance programs, corrective repairs, and reliability initiatives that increase uptime and stability.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Structured root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintenance planning and scheduling, work-order management, and spare-parts/critical spares strategy via CMMS.
• KPI ownership—track uptime, PM adherence, MTBF, and response metrics; drive continuous improvement.
• Close partnership with Production, Engineering, and Quality to implement process and equipment improvements.
• Safe execution of equipment installations, upgrades, and facility projects with on-time, on-scope delivery.

What you bring

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• 3+ years leading or supervising maintenance teams.
• Proven background with plastic injection molding equipment.
• Experience with molding auxiliaries and automated manufacturing systems.
• Expertise diagnosing issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Industrial robotics and PLC experience strongly preferred.
• Associate degree, technical/trade-school education, or equivalent practical experience.
• Leadership that communicates clearly, organizes effectively, and solves problems decisively.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-velocity environment and remain hands-on at the line.
• Ability to travel between local facilities; open to occasional weekends and overtime aligned to production demand.
